Wednesday & Friday-8:00 am to 1:00 pm
The Mission of the TMHA is to assist eligible families with safe,
decent, and affordable housing opportunities, without discrimination.
We will strive to help families achieve self-sufficiency and improve
the quality of their lives. We will create and maintain partnerships
with our clients, landlords, and appropriate community agencies
in order to accomplish this mission, and we are committed to operating
in an efficient ethical, and professional manner.
What We Do
TMHAs biggest housing effort is the Section 8 Housing Choice
Voucher Program, which is a HUD-funded rental assistance program
helping eligible families to find affordable, privately- owned
rental units in the Tuscarawas Co. area. TMHA subsidizes a portion
of the rent for the tenant family, and pays a Housing Assistance
Payment to the participating owner.
TMHA is committed to helping families to achieve eventual self
sufficiency and homeownership through the Family Self Sufficiency
program, and related efforts that further the long-term goals
of our participant families.
